SERIES: Paintings

Paintings is part of a larger series called Moving Still, wherein different nature scenes drift through a shifting spectrum of sight, dissolving, reappearing, and mutating in the act of being seen. Each work unfolds as though passed from one gaze to another: from the trichromatic eyes of humans to the ultraviolet world of bees, to the compound lenses of flies that register motion before form. As colour drifts beyond recognition and outlines blur into light, nature becomes a shared yet unstable subject, a space where multiple ways of sensing converge. The familiar is rendered alien; perception stretches and contracts, no longer belonging to any single species.

These images inhabit the threshold between stillness and transformation, echoing the layered realities that pulse beneath our limited field of vision. Each movement of hue gestures toward the countless versions of the world that unfold alongside ours, reminding us that what we see is only one of many possible realities in bloom.
